Google translate team has a extension that will translate a non-native language website into your preferred language. This extension will work perfectly if the whole website is having content in foreign language. Now imagine the case of Social networks like Google plus, Facebook. What if you have friends who always posts in a language that you won’t understand? You need to translate the whole Google plus website to translate the particular post.
But now there isno need to translate whole Google plus page. Google Chrome team has anew extension specifically designed for Google plus to translate the Google plus stream post on the fly.Download this Google Chrome extension, Google translate for Google plus. This extension will add a translate button in each post as shown below.
You can click the translate button when you want to view the content in your preferred language. Thisextension will use the Google chrome’s inbuilt translate feature and translate the post on the fly.
I believe it will be mostly useful on the socialnetworking sites to understand the friends with different native languages. Imagine a country with lost of local language like India. Each users will definitely have a friends who’s native language is different. Until now there is no easy way to translate the post by other language users.
My suggestion is that Google should directly integrate it with the Googleplus without any need for the extension. But now, I am happy that I can post my status in Tamil and my non tamilian friends also can understand and I don’t what to repeat what I said in English once again.
